Carnival on the Corner
In March 2010, Cornerstone Church held a 'Carnival on the Corner' to celebrate the launch of the church's new name.
Several hundred people attended the event, which began with the unveiling of the new church sign by the roadside.
After the unveiling of the sign, those attending were invited to enjoy free activities such as a bouncy assault course and castle, tin can alley and fire engine rides outside plus games, crafts, puppet shows, face painting, big screen Wii games and a cafe inside.
Free ice creams were served throughout the event - this was very popular despite the cold weather!
A fantastic effort by a hard working team of helpers from the church ensured that the event was a great success and enjoyed by all who came. Many of the helpers came in fancy dress costumes - in some cases they were barely recognisable!
Sunday Best MusicFest
Cornerstone Church had a stall at West Howe's Sunday Best MusicFest held in July. The MusicFest is a free event for local residents and this year our stall included free face painting, things to make (and eat!) for the kids, a variety of games, puppet shows and jewellery to buy (hand made by one of our members with some of the proceeds going towards our building fund).
